Journalism Experience

THE DORCHESTER REPORTER, Boston, MA                                                                                                         Summer 2018

Intern, wrote and photographed for news and features stories on a variety of topics, ranging from reporting on a 200-person naturalization ceremony and local farmers’ markets to profiling local artists and restaurants.


THE GEORGETOWN VOICE, Washington, DC                                                                                        January 2016 - present

Writer of news, features, opinion, and leisure pieces; copy editor in AP Style for three semesters.


Co-host of the podcast “Stripped,” which takes a sociological and analytical look at the fashion industry, exploring topics ranging from the psychology behind perfume ads to the ethics of politically motivated brands.


Co-producer of the past three annual fashion issues (2018, 2017, 2016), brainstormed themes and content; scouted locations and models; directed, styled, and photographed all fashion shoots; built relationships with local businesses and organized section editors.


Multimedia Editor (Spring 2019), responsible for brainstorming, recording, and editing video content; developing skills in film editing software such as iMovie and Final Cut Pro.

Social Media Editor (Fall 2016), responsible for daily posts on the Voice’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts; increased page clicks and viewer responses through engaging captions and regularly updated content from the news-magazine’s website.


Retail Experience


ORIGINAL PEACE TEES, Boston, MA                                                                                                                          2015-present

Co-founder, strategized for and co-created a T-shirt company that promotes global peace in all languages; built the website and self-taught silk-screening, e-commerce and simple business models; with less than a week's notice, successfully vended at New England's largest open market, SoWa, which involved designing, ordering, and receiving 150 T-shirts, a banner, and business cards/stickers.


WALLER & WOOD, Bath, UK                                                                                                                                           Spring 2018

Intern, researched and wrote blog posts, which analyzed the convergence of fashion and art in Waller’s work, for the shop website; helped Waller set up and vend at MADE London, a three-day-long tradeshow for independent designers; worked on-set for Waller’s annual photoshoot, styling models and prepping products; assisted the artists by washing, cutting, dying, and drying fabric in Waller’s studio and by managing the storefront in Bath.

Intern, wrote customer follow-ups and logged inventory; researched and interviewed like-minded creatives, such as the then e-commerce editor of Barney’s NY, for the store blog;  accompanied the company owner on buying trips to vintage outlets in Virginia and to the MAN/WOMAN trade show in New York; helped with setting up, styling, and selling during pop-up shops.


AMERICAN/HOLIDAY, Washington, DC                                                                                                                          2015-2017

Sales Assistant, helped customers in-person and on the phone in matters such as finding appropriate gifts and coordinating shipping; unpacked deliveries and updated stock, which included assisting the manager and owner in naming and pricing new items; ensured the store was clean, well-stocked, and aesthetically pleasing.
